The 8 most common questions people ask male strippers.

It is common after shows when we thank everyone for allowing us to attend and perform at their occasion, that we get asked a few questions. There are questions that are quite different but for the most part they are similar.

Years ago, and even until now male stripping is somewhat ‘underground’ profession with not much really known about it, and if there are pieces written it is by someone who spent 5 minutes being a topless waiter and thinks they know the ins and outs.

So, we decided to write and answer some of the most common questions people ask male strippers.

Also, to hopefully dispel some myths and correct some.

We asked the questions to some of the industry’s best…obviously from Unzipped Entertainment and wrote a summary of everyone’s answers.

The questions:

Do you have a girlfriend?

Some do and some do not.

It is one of those things, some of the men are in a relationship and some are not, some are married with kids some are single and ready to mingle. Each individual performer will tell you if he is in a relationship if asked.

Are you all gay?

Does it matter in 2021?... But from my knowledge the man who comes to perform at your party in Australia will be heterosexual.

Again, each man may be different. I will say that in the 10 + years I have been in the industry and the hundreds of strippers I know, of those there is 1 that is homosexual.

But again, does it matter if you everyone has a fun entertaining time?

At Unzipped Entertainment we are LGBT friendly, so we do not care who you are or what your sexual orientation is, if you like having a fun stripper performing at your occasion then you are our people.

Is this your full-time job?

Yes and no.

What you will find is a lot of the men are tradesmen, small business owners, university graduates furthering their education.

Having the ability to strip gives you freedom both time wise and financially to pursue what you want to do with your life without having the restrictions of a 9-5 job.

Stripping is something that can be done as a second job if you are working during the week.

How did you get into this?

Some say they wanted others say needed to.

You will find the men either got into stripping because it is something they wanted to do or because they needed a second job.

Then they either knew someone who was doing it and get them gigs that way or if you knew no one you had to approach places on your own.

What does your family think?

Everyone is fine with it.

Believe it or not everyone’s family is completely fine with any of the men stripping.

Again, it is 2021 what you will find for the most part is every family is supportive of their family member stripping.

Have you ever been turned on in a show?

Sometimes, yes it does happen.

When we are doing shows it is about having fun without the sleazy nature. The last thing we want to do is create a gross atmosphere where everyone feels uncomfortable. The mentality of the performer (I cannot speak for everyone) should be exactly this, nothing sinister just a fun entertaining show. Sometimes we dance and move around so much that things…happen.

However, the performer should be professional enough to firstly not draw attention to it and secondly know how to fix the problem and continue with the show.

What is the weirdest situation/party?

Well…what is your weirdest party/situation?…double sometimes triple that and its close

The industry we work in is dealing with different request for parties, themes, and people personal preferences. So, if you look at the wide variety of situations, we would be apart of it would be hard for any of the men to pinpoint one in particular.

We have stripped for couples, individuals, 100th birthdays, underground parties, crazy hens’ parties, shopping centres..the list goes on. We just do see anything as weird, so It all depends on what you mean by weird.

Most requested outfit? Weirdest?

It goes through phases but now fireman and policeman, Harry Potter.

Fireman and policeman are requested quite a bit, however what I find is a lot of requests for outfits like Harry Potter have been coming through. The outfit requests go through phases, I remember when a tradie outfit was in high demand then 50 shades of grey or magic mike.

The outfit requests that have stayed solid over the years are still fireman and policeman.

Final Thought.

Out of all the questions we get asked these are the most asked to answer. Even though we cannot speak for every man all the men we asked did have similar answers to each other.

At the end of the day, we are just like everyone else, we have lives, goals, jobs, and family. The only difference is at a 9-5 office job is it rarely a requirement to be in shape and dance naked..unless that is your office in which case we are coming to work there.
